ENJOY STUNNING SCENERY INDOORS AND OUT AT THE BLUE MOUNTAIN SHOWHOME

Here’s a fun fact about Blue Mountain: Did you know it’s part of the Bruce Peninsula, Southern Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe tourism region? This area of Ontario is rightly famous for its stunning natural beauty. And speaking of stunning beauty, wait until you see the Blue Mountain Showhome!

In keeping with a “neighbourhood” of such splendour, the Showhome—part of the $3.3 Million Grand Prize that also includes $100,000 cash—reflects its surroundings. It’s perfectly at home in this playground of nature, and it’s the ideal base for all your adventures, big and small. You can plan and prep for them here and then come home again to talk about them to your heart’s delight. Or, you can stay in and enjoy the “natural” wonders of this incredible Showhome! Let’s look around; it’s truly a feast for the eyes!

S-K-I is in the Showhome’s D-N-A

From the moment you step into the Blue Mountain Showhome, you’re reminded that you are in the heart of Ontario’s finest ski country. Entering the front door, you’ll pass a series of ski-themed prints on your way to the almost indescribably magnificent lodge room—it’s as breathtaking as the mountain itself!

If you can bring your eyes down from the cathedral ceiling and the gorgeous beams, you’ll discover two distinctly different seating arrangements. The larger features an epic sectional plus accent chairs gathered near the two-storey front windows. It’s a friendly space, and you can almost hear the laughter and excited voices of family and loved ones already. There’s a veritable gallery of nature-inspired art on the wall and a big-screen TV for everything from added ambiance to catching the big game. Snow-white faux fur throws and an avalanche of pillows soften the room, keeping it cozy yet grand at the same time.

The second is a more intimate space in front of the spectacular double-sided fireplace. The stone cladding reaches to the ceiling high above and provides a backdrop for this four-person chat zone. It’s just the place to share a relaxed moment with a couple of friends, bask in the firelight, and warm up after a day on the slopes or the trails.

But, if you feel like a real apres-ski vibe, there’s a dedicated nook right off the billiards room on the opposite side of the fireplace! Grab a seat at the bar or step behind the counter to serve up your favourite mocktails and hot beverages as you compare notes on the day’s skiing and boarding. Don’t worry—it’s just as much fun even if you never so much as put your boots on!

This colossal kitchen is a “natural” place for family to come together

There are 12 lifts at Blue Mountain to help you get your fill of downhill action. Well, the Showhome kitchen has that beat—there are 16 chairs to help you get your fill of home-cooked meals!

There’s a modern vibe in here, with a striking black and white feature wall echoed in the granite island, and fabulous pendant lighting. Not to mention floods of natural light coming from the wall of windows and the French doors leading to the front balcony. You’ll find woodtones here, too, in the flooring, the chairs, and the spacious cabinets, continuing the use of natural materials and textures found throughout the showhome. What a place to fuel up for a day of fun on and around Blue Mountain!

The principal bedroom is like a private chalet

Whether your day was full of trips up and down the mountain, trips to the many nearby attractions and amenities, or even a trip to work, the principal bedroom is your personal getaway at home. The warm greys and neutrals have a calming influence on the soul, and we can’t help but think the dreamy mountain art above the bed will fill your dreams with nothing but positive energy.

There’s an inviting sitting area with two chairs and a small table to rest your drink. You could enjoy a good read, put your feet up on the oversized hassock and watch your favourite TV show, or simply admire the view of the treed slopes beyond your backyard.

The suite is complete with a huge walk-in closet, big enough for all your outfits for the slopes, the shopping, and the chilling with friends! Just make sure you make time in that busy schedule to enjoy the deep, stand-alone soaker tub—it’s all set up and ready for you with a book and beverage tray. And the chandelier over the tub is such an elegant touch. From bulbs to bubbles, everything you need is here!

Art imitates life on the lower level

Understand that owning a gorgeous Showhome in Blue Mountain will mean hosting overnight guests! Fortunately, there are two lovely bedrooms on the lower level, enough for your live-in family and visitors to stay comfortably.

And there is no shortage of reminders what a special place you’re in when you stay here! The art work is inspiring, especially the tree cross-section prints and the amazing abstract three-dimensional mountain pieces. We’ve never seen anything quite like them, and we’re obsessed!

For art of a different kind, follow the trail of movie posters to the rec room for a board game or movie night! It’s the perfect spot to spend an afternoon or evening when you’re feeling casual (YES, pyjamas are suitable for all-day wearing!) or when the weather outside is best enjoyed from inside.

Be one with nature without leaving home

We mentioned earlier there’s a balcony at the front of the Showhome, right off the kitchen. What a glorious spot to enjoy that first coffee of the day as the world opens its sleepy eyes once more. Guess what? There are two other outdoor areas you’re going to love and, not that we ever play favourites, they might become your number one and two hang-out places!

The first is the lower level covered patio, accessible from the rec room. It’s a cozy niche with seating for two by a propane fire pit for cooler days and nights. The roof is clad in stunning wood planks, and there’s a ceiling fan for warm days and shooing away any “uninvited guests.”

Directly above is the loggia, and it is absolutely irresistible. Between the outdoor sofa and chairs, there’s seating for up to five people nestled among decorative potted trees, tables for coffee and snacks, and oversized candle lanterns. Between the stunning gas fireplace and rustic stone surround and the sensational view of the mountain and forest, it’s hard to know what the focal point is! Either way, this will be a choice location for unwinding and revelling in the majesty of one of Ontario’s most scenic places.

So, are you ready to move in right now? We don’t blame you! This is the perfect Showhome for family living, entertaining, and living life in harmony with the beauty that envelops it. But, if you want the keys to this nature-inspired lifestyle, first you need to get your tickets! Buy yours now at our website and let the dreaming begin.
