Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, is one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. The lottery program is the largest source of private cancer research funding in Canada and the public support of our lotteries has made a significant difference to cancer research and discovery, and will continue to be critical as we lead the way in Personalized Cancer Medicine.

In April of 2016, Sue Bell was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. Her tumour was removed, followed by months of chemo. She credits Princess Margaret Hospital for her survival.

Bell is in remission now  and goes for regular checkups, but says funding for research is crucial. โ€œWe need to keep funding the research and coming up with treatments for all these types. Already weโ€™ve come leaps and bounds and there are so many more survivors everyday. By purchasing a ticket you are funding the research that will enable that many more survivors to keep on going,โ€ said Bell.
